Whoaaa, it's my last post for 2008! Yay~! I didn't really like 2008; there were some ups and downs for me, but mostly downs. But hopefully, 2009 will be a better year! I look forward to it since there'll be a lot of albums coming out from my favorite artists! My wallet will probably be an empty hole next year too. My poor wallet. Anyways, I think that 2008 was a rather... dramatic year. From celebrity crises to the soap opera-ish presidential elections, it was perfect for being broadcasted on TV and watched by millions of housewives. Which I'm sure some housewives did. I'm crawling out of my shell in LJ; hopefully I meet tons of more cool people on here! I know I've met some already ahahahah. Well, for '08... hmm... what else can I say.... oh yeah! Let's make some predictions and see if they come true! On... indies VK bands! Mwahahaha~ >3 This year, a TON of new indies VK bands emerged, and only some I can say are really good! Here's my list of who's probably going to make it big in the future:
MANNEQUIN
Matenrou Opera
Lucy
9GOATS BLACK OUT
DELUHI
Let's start off with MANNEQUIN. MANNEQUIN first appeared in 2007, but this year they've been active, so I consider 'em being made this year. They haven't disappointed me, these guys! With an excellent first single and mini-album release, I'm really excited for what they might release next! They remind me a bit of Luna Sea with their excellent guitar lines and throbbing bass; they'll probably have a very good chance in the future to make it big. Next, is Matenrou Opera. Their recent singles SPECTACULAR and Last Scene have majorly disappointed me... they were almost nothing like their epic mini-album Gilia, which was awesome. Could these guys be motivated again to make something as great as their earlier mini-album Gilia? Who knows, only their guitarist Anzi's wicked solos keep me clinging on to them. Lucy now! WOW, these guys are DARK. But deliciously dark! Who knew that slow, heavy songs could sound so GREAT? They create this wonderful, mysterious atmosphere in their songs... Everyone works well together; no one sticks out or isn't heard. These guys will probably make it big in the future also, even though they've released only 1 single. 9GOATS BLACK OUT! Hmm, these guys are great too, but their recent single SLEEPING BEAUTY has really disappointed me... It's too sleazy compared to their earlier mini-album release DEVILS IN BEDSIDE. That mini-album was insanely good; it really showed off guitarist Uta's amazing skills on guitar. Not to mention vocalist Ryo's smooth voice. Make your next release better, guys! Last but not least... DELUHI! Amazing singles they released this year! But, their recent single JAGANNATH has disappointed me a bit too. But I'm going to ignore JAGANNATH and hope that they pick themselves up and make excellent music again, since their vocalist Juri has a clear, strong voice and their guitarist Leda is an amazing shredder. Nice solos that guy can crank out. I hope to see these 4 bands make it big in the future and not lose their edge! Tokyo Dome, guys, or at least Nippon Budokan! Looking forward to their future works!

Gwahhh, that was a big rant... sorry if I'm spamming up anyone's friends page. But, let's see if my predictions are true for 2009! Anyone who has stumbled on my journal, please check out those excellent indies VK bands! And see if you agree with me that these guys will probably make it big! I have faith in them (well some I'm losing faith in, but I'll cling on just in case)! Ok, gonna stop babbling on now. ヤスルさまでした~!! (゚∀゚*)♪

^^; I've only heard of the two first bands there, but never actually listened to them. I'll give the bands a try though :D My iTunes is in need of refreshing new songs~
Oooh, do listen to those other bands please! I find that they're really talented, especially MANNEQUIN and DELUHI. They won't disappoint~ :3
